YourFeed starts from a simple inversion: instead of creating an account inside somebody else's social platform, you establish a place on the Internet that you control and let that place participate socially.
Independent first
Your URL is your place
An installation has its own domain or URL, its own publishing identity, and its own content. It does not need permission from YourFeed.io to exist.
No central account
There is no required YourFeed identity provider, registration database, authoritative directory, or shared account system.
Familiar without being captive
The interface can feel like a normal social feed even when every participant is operating an independent site.
Publisher-agnostic
A feed might represent a person, band, company, nonprofit, project, publication, or something we have not imagined yet.
What success does not require
YourFeed is not being designed around market share, mass adoption, advertising, or monetization. Those are not prerequisites for the project to be worthwhile.
Shared experience, not a shared platform
Independent YourFeed sites may deliberately share interface conventions, interaction patterns, and visual language. Two people can feel as though they are participating in one familiar social environment even though neither depends on a common central service.
