For the first practical model, that probably means a domain or stable URL and ordinary web hosting. That is not the only model we may ever support.
A deliberate act
Registering a domain, understanding where it points, and publishing something from your own site can change the way the Internet feels. You are not merely opening an account inside somebody else's application; you are operating a small piece of the network yourself.
Make the concepts approachable, not invisible
For newcomers, YourFeed can provide a guided path through domains, DNS, hosting, and installation. The goal is not to bury those ideas behind a fake central account system. The goal is to make them understandable.
Conventional hosting
The simplest early deployment: normal domain, HTTPS, and ordinary hosting.
Local computer + DDNS
A future path worth exploring: run YourFeed from a personal computer and use dynamic DNS or another stable-address mechanism.
Static export
A local authoring tool could publish a portable static copy elsewhere.
Other future models
IPv6 direct serving, peer-to-peer connectivity, and hybrid authoritative/public-copy designs remain open questions.
Three things that may not need to live together
Publishing identity, authoritative content, and public availability may eventually be separable concerns.
