Standards and projects worth investigating

The point is not to bolt all of these together. It is to investigate what already exists before inventing a protocol unnecessarily.
Security questions arrive early
Remote replies create impersonation, spam, changed-content, unavailable-content, verification, and SSRF questions. Local publishing creates authentication and secret-management questions. URL portability raises identity questions.
Constraint worth protecting
No individual YourFeed installation should require YourFeed.io to be online in order to publish, render its interface, or interact with another site.
