YourFeed is under development. This is a working pre-v1 site. Some pages describe possibilities, not settled decisions.

Follow

Following should be a local choice made by the reader, not an entry in a central social graph.

The basic relationship

A YourFeed installation knows which feeds its publisher wants to read and can assemble those feeds into a familiar chronological stream.

Discovery can stay ordinary

Feed URLs can be exchanged out-of-band. A central directory is not required. Search engines, websites, email, messages, QR codes, optional community showcases, and person-to-person exchange can all be discovery mechanisms.

Public and private follow lists

One idea worth preserving is a simple visibility setting so some followed feeds can be deliberately shown to public visitors while others remain visible only in the local admin interface.

Private does not mean anonymous. A remote publisher, server, or endpoint may still observe requests or interactions. The setting would control what YourFeed publishes, not promise network invisibility.

No follower bureaucracy unless we earn it

Complex follower approval, audience segmentation, friends-of-friends graphs, and social CRM features should not appear merely because other platforms have them.
